Resides and works in Bellingham, WA.
Oscar is a 2022 MFA graduate from the Rainier Writing Workshop at PLU. His undergrad was spent at Portland State University where he received a BFA in Creative Writing. Before Portland, he spent two years playing baseball and earning an Associate’s Degree at Bellevue College. His writing background includes historical and speculative fiction, poetry and personal essays. He writes stories that exemplify the dark and uncanny aspects of the human experience. Professionally, Oscar has worked as a Freelance Editor, Copywriter and Graphic Designer.
An oil painter since 2019, Oscar’s work can be defined as Contemporary Realism, and he is best known for his monochromatic paintings and Pacific Northwest landscapes.
